A song wrote for Selena Gomez by Pixie Lott

The singer wrote 'We Own the Night' which was recorded by Selena Gomez and the Scene for her last album, 'When the Sun Goes Down', and although they have yet to meet, Pixie is glad they worked together.

Speaking at the recent MTV Titanic Sounds concert in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Pixie exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I've never met Selena Gomez before, but she sounds really good on the song and she seems like a lovely girl.

"She seems to have such a zest for life, so I emailed her and said, 'Thanks for recording the song,' and she emailed back saying, 'No worries, that's fine, thanks!'"

Pixie has previously written tracks recorded by Alexandra Burke and Girls Can't Catch, but also for artists further afield, such as Dutch winner of 'The X Factor' Lisa Lois and Asian girl group Girl's Generation.

She added: "I only have 12 songs on my album, so all the ones I write that don't make it get sent off by my publishers and luckily some of them get picked up. A lot of them are hits in other countries like Belgium or Holland, so most people in the UK don't know about them."

Pixie's performance at MTV Titanic Sounds will be shown in the UK on MTV music on May 5.

Selena Gomez is a "bad girlfriend." Okay, maybe not so bad that Justin Bieber is going to dump her, though he might think twice after hearing about Selena's gaffe.

You would think that Justin would have at least given Selena a tester of his fragrance to try, right?

"I'm such a bad girlfriend," exclaimed Gomez upon failing the sniff-test. Yeah, you are, Selena! Of course, you can't expect someone like Selena Gomez, who is busy selling her own, competing line of perfume to know what her boyfriend's scent smells like, can you?

 Then again, if she doesn't know the competition, it can't bode well for Selena's new scent. The question is, can Justin Bieber pick his girlfriend's smell out in blind sniff-test? Now that would be something.

Selena Gomez Tries to Dress Age Appropriate

Selena Gomez always tries to dress "age appropriate." The singer-actress is aware that she has a number of young fans and says she tries to wear clothes that they could also don.


"Obviously sometimes I'm going to dress for me. I wouldn't specifically want younger kids wearing a gown or a top that I wear. But most of the time I do wear things that are appropriate for everybody," she told People.

Along with having her own clothing, Selena, 19, is preparing to release her debut fragrance this year and she is hoping it is the first of many: "I'm so excited about my new fragrance which will be coming out soon.

 I think we're just going to name it after me for the first one because I think it would be simple to just do that for right now but I'm hoping this is the first in a line of perfumes, we'll see. It's going to be something different too because my fans are going to help me choose it so it'll be very fan involved.


I've had some great suggestions from my fans already, they've been choosing some really good fragrances so it's very exciting."

Justin Bieber makes 'Beautiful' music with Taylor Swift

Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift have made a "beautiful" record together. The 'Baby' hitmaker has recorded a track with the 'Love Story' singer and though few details about the collaboration have been made public, Justin's girlfriend Selena Gomez has heard the song and is very impressed.


She said: "It's beautiful. I don't know if it's going to make it on the record, but it is beautiful."

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old star admitted she has no plans to return to the recording studio any time soon as she is currently focused on her acting career.

She told E! News: "We're maybe going to do some fun remixes, but right now it's just about movies."

Selena was thrilled recently when she learned Lea Michele will perform her track 'Love You Like A Love Song' on a forthcoming episode of 'Glee' and admits the inclusion of her track came as a surprise.

She explained: "I didn't even know and my label didn't even know it was happening. Cory Monteith texted me a video of someone singing it and I was like, 'Wait, that's Lea!' I asked him if they were on set and he sent me back a smiley face. So that's how we found out."

One of the latest polls to come out about Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber reveals some surprises, but the surprises aren't just about Selena and Justin; they're more about the fans participating in the poll. With all the media talk about how young the fans seem for this pop singing couple, they've answered a question coming from a mature point of view. This points to a more mature fan base for Selena than Justin, or at least a more mature thinking one.

"Do you think Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will get married?" This is the straightforward question asked of the couple's fans. While most young kids would probably jump all over that "yes" button, because they're not looking that far into the future, that wasn't the case. The answers for "yes" and "no" were almost split right down the middle. Fans voted "Yes" 42.38% and "No" 41.7%, with the remaining percentage making up the "I don't know" option, as seen on Hollywood Life.

While Selena and Justin make one fairy tale couple today, they're still only in their teens (OK Selena's a stone's throw away from 20, but she's still 19 today).
