Nails Inc. The Donmar Collection swatches and review!

This is the Donmar Collection, and I may like it even better than the Wyndham.

Chlesea, one coat. This is a "plum black" but its really hard to capture on camera. Again, this is also super opaque and creamy and awesome. I was actually expecting this polish to be more on the purple side, but it is actually more of a very deep burgundy with a hint of purple.

Here is a close up of The Donmar. They flakies look mostly yellow/orange in the bottle.

One coat of The Donmar overglaze over one coat of Chelsea. In person the flakies go from red/orange to orange to yellow to green to blue. It was hard to capture all the colors without natural sunlight. (its been cloudy here for a while). But you can enlarge these pictures for a better view. In this picture you should be able to see yellow, orange and green.

Mostly green view of the flakies.

Extra picture, hoping you can see some more colors in there.. maybe blue.

Overall, I love this collection. Chelsea has a fantastic formula just like Kensington. Very smooth and creamy, great coverage and amazingly opaque in one coat. The Donmar also has a slightly milky base, but I didn't find that it mutes Chelsea as much. Love the colors of the flakies in this one and the combination in general, even though I'm not usually a fan of purple and yellow together.

So tomorrow, I'm headed to a beauty expo! The hair salon I go to teamed up with Nars to have some beauty expo thing, which is pretty cool. In my next post I'll be reporting back to you guys about anything cool that I may find.

Until next time,

Nails Inc. The Wyndham Collection swatches and review!

Finally! I was finally able to redo the pictures that I lost! I shall now start with The Wyndam Collection! Oh, let me first say that I love all of the polish names from Nails Inc.

Kensington, one coat. This is a "teal black" creme as described by the package and I definitely agree. Its a really nice deep dark teal (I'm a sucker for dark teals and blues). This polish has amazing coverage, as you can see from this just being one coat.

The Wyndham Overglaze top coat, one coat over Kensington. The base of this polish is slightly milky and kind of mutes out the color underneath, but just a tiny bit. It's only really noticeable in the sun if you really look at it. It is packed with these awesome flakie/flecks, and it really has a lot of them. In this polish, the flecks flash from green to teal to dark blue, as you can see in the photo (you can enlarge it). Just to note, I did do a coat of Seche over this.

Here is a kind of blurry close up of the bottle of The Wyndham.

Overall, the Wyndham Collection is just awesome. Kensington is fantastic, I love everything about it: the color, the coverage, the name! Everything. The formula is amazing, it glides on beautifully, is super creamy and is opaque in one coat which is very impressive. It also dries super fast and is really shiny on its own without a top coat. The Wyndham is also really cool. The formula on it is also really great, smooth and glides on nicely. The flakies/flecks in it are great, nice flashes of color and they lie flat, which is great. I love flakie polishes and I had a serious lack of them until I got these. I love the combination that you get with this set. Just everything about it is awesome. Just one thing to note: you can sometimes pick up too much polish on the brush with both of these polishes, but don't wipe too much off with The Wyndham because you will wipe off most of the flakies.

Until next time,

nails inc. special effects overglaze polish preview!

During the Sephora friends and family sale, I got two of the three new nails inc sets. These sets feature a pair of polishes, one dark creme and one amazing fleck/flakie overglaze top coat. Each pairing has a different creme and a different overglaze top coat. I was originally going to show you swatches of the Wyndham Collection but I did them pretty sloppily and yeah...

In the flash photo you can really see the color of Chelsea and in the no flash photo you can see the flecks in The Donmar. On the front and back of each box you can see an example of what the polishes are supposed to look like. In person, in the bottle, you can see that the flecks in The Donmar flash from green/blue to yellow and orange/red.

Once again, in the flash photo you can see the color of Kensington and in the no flash you can see the flecks in the The Wyndham. The flecks in The Wyndham flash from green to teal to blue.

The last collection is the Old Vic collection, which features a black creme polish and a blue fleck overglaze. Once I saw a swatch of Old Vic I was super tempted to buy it, but I don't really need another black creme polish. I wish that the overglaze top coats came separately, because I would have bought all three! Each set is $20 (that's why I took advantage of the friends and family sale), but for all of you who missed that sale, there is going to be another one coming up but I'll let you know more details when that gets closer.

Until next time,
