Zoya Petra

I got this when I got Anja and Cynthia in a buy one get two free promo but never posted it even though I posted the other two. Fail, yeah I know. So without further ado.... here it is!

Petra, two coats. This one is from the Smoke part of the Smoke and Mirrors collection, so its a creme like the rest of them. This one is a dusty purple/mauve color. It really looks different based on the light. In some light it looks more purple, in others grey and sometimes even has a brown tone.

The formula on it is really good and has really nice coverage, but I wouldn't expect any less from Zoya. It's pretty self leveling (evens itself out on the nail so you don't need a million coats to make it smooth) which is awesome, and dries quickly. I always have high hopes for Zoya polishes and they never disappoint. Always a great brand to fall back on.

I also happened to buy two more Zoya polishes earlier this week because of one of their flash promos. If you haven't been following Zoya on twitter or like them on facebook you definitely should because there are supposedly more flash promos to come! These flash promos can happen at anytime and the only way to know about them is to see a tweet or status from Zoya! These tweets/statuses actually have the promo code and its only available for a select amount of people!

Barielle Elle's Spell

Yay! the final Barielle polish!

One coat of Elle's Spell over Edgy. You can see more of a range of colors in the flakes in this one. In the bottle you can see the full range that really doesn't show up on the nail. This is my favorite combo of the bunch.

One coat of Elle's Spell over Do Unto Others. Because of the green/blue base coat, this ended up looking more purple which I think its pretty cool. I like the orange/red flecks with the purple base.

One coat of Elle's Spell over Ecstasy. You lose a lot of the color range in the flakes on this one. It's mostly orange, and you can only see the green on extreme angles.

I was thinking about showing it over Angelic and by itself but then I decided against it. The base is a sheer raspberry type shade and it just looks odd over the bare nail. Angelic is too light and sheer, so Elle's Spell looks the same over Angelic as bare nails.

I love flakie polishes, but this one falls a little short for me in terms of the flake color range that actually shows up. I'd really love to see more of the green (which you can see in the first couple of photos of the bottle), I really love it in the bottle, but it just doesn't have the same effect on the nails. I also like that it looks different when layered over different colored n ail polishes, which gives you more options when using it. The formula on it is good and I think there's a decent amount of flakes, so no complaints with that.

Barielle Angelic

Coming up to the last couple of Barielle shades! Exciting.

Angelic, four to five coats. This one is veryyyy sheer. In the bottle it looks like a peachy pink beige shade and I was expecting it to be a little more opaque, like the rest of the shades that I tried.  The color does build up as you apply more coats but it never does get opaque. This one is probably good for french manicures.

The formula was good. Smooth and had nice coverage even though it was very sheer. This one, in general, is pretty eh. I'm not a big fan of sheer polishes, kind of done see the point unless they're sheer but have glitter. On the bright side, it dries REALLY fast. Even with like 5 coats on it dried pretty quickly and I didn't wait for each layer to dry in between.
