Hiding those dark circles!

So in a previous post I said I would go into greater detail on hiding dark circles. So here it is:

Some people tend to forget that we all have different undertones which affect the color of your skin and dark circles. This is why I said that just because a concealer works or someone else doesn't mean it will work on you.

This may sound strange but undertones under the eye range from purple, blue, yellow, pink, red ect. To figure out what colors you have under your eyes look closely at the different shades you see. Do you see any spider veins? If so what color are they? What color do you see in the corner of your eye?

If you just have minor dark circles, you may get away with just using a concealer close to your skin color. However, for those with more serious dark circles determining this will help you choose the right concealer. This will help you achieve a refreshed look and will hide your dark circles perfectly.

If you have blue, purplish tones you need a concealer with a orange undertone to cancel out these shades.
If you have redder tones you will want a concealer with a green under tone.

If you have brownish tomes you will need a concealer with a blueish undertone.

If you have puffy eyes then do not get a concealer that is lighter than your skin tone because this will actually highlight them and bring them out more. Instead you will need a concaeler a shade darker than your skin tone to hide them.

If your eyes are recessed (sunken in) then you will do the opposite and use a concealer a shade lighter to make them appear normal.

Until next time,
The Wicked
