Zoya Neeka!!

This is a little late, but better late than never. I got this when I got Jem during one of Zoya's flash promos.

Neeka, one or two coats (can't remember, swatched this a while ago). I really like this color, it is a dusty purple with gold flecks! Definitely a fan!

Formula was really good as usual, smooth with great coverage and self leveling. The pigmentation is also great which allows for less coats while being completely opaque. It also dries pretty quickly, which is always good. It

I really wanted to try Essie As Gold As It Gets over this just to add some more gold flecks to the mix, but I didn't get a chance to so I'll have to save that for another day.

elf Studio Complete Coverage Concealer- updated review

Happy New Years everyone!! I hope everyone had a great night and celebrated, because I sure did.

So a little while back I put up some swatches of the
elf Studio Complete Coverage Concealer, yet, since then I have used it a few times. The palette is pretty good because it brings four different shades which can be blended together for a perfect match.
The formula itself is pretty light and is not very creamy. If feels oily and thin therefore, it is not for those you want a lot of coverage.
One thing I did notice is that the skin doesn't absorb it as it should, so it can be a bit of a challenge to make it look natural. Since it is oily I wouldn't recommend it on oily skin or for those whose under eyes crease especially if you have fine lines or wrinkles.
However, for younger skin it might work pretty well since most young people have dewy skin and don't have wrinkles. Also, for the price it is a awesome deal since you get four different shades. This is a good palette to keep just in case you get a small pimple or something that needs a quick fix.

Happy New Year Nails!

Happy New Year's eve and an early Happy New Year to everyone! We had a little crisis for about two days where the blog got somehow deleted (I almost had a heart attack), but it's back now and his is my New Year's eve mani!

Crazy glitter explosion!
Two coats of China Glaze Tinsel Town, one coat of Forever 21 Silver (large and small holo glitter) over that and then one coat of Sally Hansen In the Spotlight (holo bar glitter) over that. Then of course trusty Seche Vite to smooth everything out.  Sorry this is a little blurry, but you can enlarge it to get the details of the various glitters I used.

I really like the all the different shapes of holo glitter over the dark glitter and base of Tinsel Town. Definitely gives it more dimension and tons of added sparkle.

We, here at We are The Wicked, want to wish you guys a super awesome, fun and safe New Year! Hope you continue to follow us in 2012!!!

Until next time,

Essie Luxeffects Top Coat: As Gold As It Gets!

So for the holidays, Essie came out with Luxeffects Top Coats, a collection of glittery, shimmery, beautiful top coats. The collection has 5 polishes and I happened to pick one up a week or so before Christmas.

The polish is a clear base with TONS of gold flakes. I love how the caps say Luxeffects.

One coat of Gold As It Gets over Zoya Jem. I really like the gold flakes over Jem, it really brings out the gold shimmer that Jem already has. Love the combination of these two. I think a warm base brings out the gold much more than a flat black could.

Just for reference, two coats of Gold As It Gets over Jem.

Three coats of Gold As It Gets over Jem.

As you can see this polish is JAM PACKED with awesome gold flakes. They are pretty small but very densely packed, and in three coats it's actually almost opaque. Formula on this is very nice, smooth and the flakes are pretty evenly distributed with each coat. This polish also dries very quickly. I didn't use a top coat in any of these pictures, but you can always use it for an extra glossy finish.

I thought I'd show you guys some bling for your nails in time for New Years. The other Luxeffects Top Coats are also really pretty, two of them are glitter (silver and rosey colored), one is similar to this but has silver or white flakes and the last is a dupe or Nubar 2010 / Sally Hanses Hidden Treasure.

Christmas Nails: Holiday Lights!

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas / enjoying the last day of Hanukkah! Since the holidays crept upon me then came and went so quickly, I didn't even have time to think about a holiday mani. But on Christmas day I felt like a super loser and needed to do something, and so I did this mani about 45 minutes before I had to leave the house lol

Holiday lights! Cute right?
I started with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow then I took thread, yes actual black thread, and laid it over the polish. You have to work with it a little and shape it the way you like. Preferably, you'd want the polish to be a little tacky so the thread will stick. That didn't really work out for me as the polish magically dried really fast, so I had to pat it down a little in order for it to stay put.
After the thread was in place I took a tooth pick to make the little lights. I used a bunch of colors: blue, green, yellow and red, kind of classic holiday lights. You can really use any colors you like and have on hand.
Then I used Seche Vite to smooth it all out. You can still feel the thread after one coat of Seche, so I added another and for the most part, you can still feel the thread, but I decided to just stop after two coats.

Did you guys do any holiday manis or makeup?

Neutrogena Wave Review- Update

So when I bought the Wave I wrote a post on my first impressions, however, I've been using it for over a month now. Since I've bought it  I have been using it once a day every day. Let me just I love it, can't be without it now. If you read the first post then you know it came with two different types of pad, so I will tell you my thoughts on each of them.

Deep Clean Foaming Pads

These pads are really soft and have a furry texture.  You just put then under running water for a second and they foam up. The pads provide a very good amount of the product, even when I finish washing they still have some product left.  I have mentioned before that my skin is very sensitive especially with cleaning products, so I was a bit worried it would irritate my skin after numerous uses. However, it has not dried or irritated my skin. I really love washing my face with this because it feels super clean yet, my face doesn't feel dry or tight.

Deep Clean Exfoliating Pads

These pads have little orange circles to prodvide more texture for a deeper clean. I rarely used these because they are to harsh on my skin. When I use these my skin feels a bit irratated, dry and tight because it elimanates too much of my natural oils.  Last week when I used one of these my skin got really red and was irritating me pretty bad.  I don't recommend these for those with sensitive or dry skin. However, I think you can use them every two weeks or whever you feel you need to really exfoliate.

I think this is a great porduct, it is easy to use and doesn't take much time or effort. I will continue using it!! Since I began using it my skin has cleared up and has got much softer.
