The brush is very stiff and hard, which allows for a straight line. However, for starters I personally think it's a little hard to use because the brush is thick. It can be a bit challenging to do a thin line with this if you have no control. Also, it is very runny so for newbies it can be frustrating to use, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes very easy. 

I've noticed when people first start applying makeup they tend to put too much pressure on the brush or whatever other applicator they are working with. You really have to be gentle and loosen up your hand especially when applying eyeliner. 

When it comes to color, it is very black and dries really quickly which is great. 

Overall I really love everything about this eyeliner. It stays in place and doesn't rub or run during the day. I've been using the MAC Fluidline for over a year but I use to use this liquid liner before.  However, when I go out or want a more defined and darker liner I use the liquid. It lasts longer and the color is darker. Also, the liquid liner has a shiny finish while the Fluidline has an almost matte finsh. For some reason I perfer the matte finish and that's why I've been using the Fluidline.

Tribal Nails!

I've been meaning to do a tribal pattern for a long time, but just haven't gotten around to it, but recently I've been pretty bored with my vast nail polish collection so I decided to finally take some time out (while I was supposed to doing a paper...procrastination to the max) and actually do it. Yay!

This one looks a little dark.. I don't know why. My phone usually hates me when I take pictures with it.

Anyway, the base coat is actually a custom nude shade that I created in my kitchen and I do have tutorial for it that I will put up as my next post. For the details I used OPI Alpine Snow, Sinful Colors Black on Black and MAC Mischievous Mint (love it so much). Oh and I used one of the art club detail polishes in white. For everything else I used detail brushes that I have.

So I first did a base coat, then one coat of my nude shade. Then I did all the details, Mischievous Mint took more than one coat wherever you see it other than the dots. After I did all the detail work I did a thick coat os Seche Vite to smooth everything out. I really like how it came out. What do you guys think? MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage Review

I just realized today, that I had not done a review on the this product, which I have had for a long time now. 

MAC's description of Prep + Skin Base Visage:

An ultra-fluid lotion formulated with special-effect silicones. Calms and soothes the skin, blots away excess oil, and evens out skin redness. Improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder.

This primer has light reflecting particles in it, something I realized after I purchased it. This is suppose to help illuminate your skin. Once, you apply it on your face you cannot see them, which is a plus for me. Because I was worried about having a face full for little glitter particles.

Once you apply the primer on your face, you will notice that your makeup glides on very easily. Even after applying the primer, you can touch your face and feel smooth it feels. Also it does do a good job filling in your pores. 

However, it does not provide much oil control for me. I get oily on my t-zone and still do even when I apply the primer. However, it does help keep my makeup on longer and controls the oil a bit. 

Overall, i think this is a great primer if you have large pores or have fine lines because if really does smooth out your skin. However, If you are more concerned on your oily skin then I recommend trying another primer.

Gold eye makeup look!

Here is a gold eye makeup look I did today. I really like gold eyeshadows and pigments yet I always end up buying them and not using them. But I will be using them more frequently especially because I'm in love with Makeupstore's pigment ( I did a review on it already.)

MAC Mischievous Mint and Black Shatter

So, I've had on Mischievous Mint for a full week and the wear is absolutely fantastic (the same goes for Mean and Green). Seriously, not one chip after a full 7 days! I thought it would be a waste to remove a manicure that hadn't chipped at all, so I just added a bit to it. I've been wanted to try shatter tips, and I used this as my opportunity

Indeed, I like it. I just put Black Shatter on the tips freehand and no top coat. 

The whole MAC Quite Cute Collection kind of reminds me Easter because of the pastel colors, and when I did this it kind of reminded me of an easter egg. Like when you dye an easter egg it can sometimes get cracks of color, yeah like that. So, I think its pretty appropriate for the upcoming holiday.

MAC 's new collection ins called Quite Cute

This collection features make up and nail polish as most MAC collections do. This is a softer side of MAC, all the colors are more or less pastels.

OPI has a slew of new collections coming out this year, they are launching a new set of crackle polishes, four new shades for the Serena Williams Glam Slam! Collection, the Nice Stems! Collection, Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides Collection and the Touring America Collection.

The collection also includes the silver shatter. I was redally excited to hear about this collection since I'm a huge Pirates of the Caribbean fan, but I was pretty underwhelmed with the colors. Pirates and pastels just don't do it for me, but we'll have to see when the collection actually comes out. I am a fan of Skull and Glossbones, Mermaids Tears, Stranger Tides and of course the Silver Shatter.

MAC Iridescent Loose Powder in Silver Dusk

MAC Silver Dusk, is one of my of my favorite products. It is a loose powder with a mix of Mica and pigments. I use this everyday to highlight my cheeks and it gives a really nice glow to the skin. I also use it in the inner corner of my eye to help brighten my eyes.

 The price is $23.00 but it is worth it, even if you use it everyday it last foreverrrrr, since so little of it is needed. You'll need a bit on your brush, tap off the excess and apply it on your cheek bones. When the light hits your cheeks it will give you a very nice and natural glow especially in photos. Sometimes I also you it as an eyeshadow base, I just the color of it. It is like a champagne color. I recommend getting this shade if you have light skin or a pink/cool undertone. If you have a tanned or darker skin tone you should try the other shade named Golden Bronze. It is the same exact product just that this is one is a bronzed color. This is a great product for those with dull skin because it brings out a glow. I was introduced to this product by my makeup teacher and since then been hooked on it. 

The only con I have is that it can be messy, so be careful not to drop it because it is a loose powder. I am very clumsy and always drop it, then I have shimmer covering everything not a pleasant experience to clean up. 

I was trying to get a photo of it but it is very hard to photograph, however the swatch on MAC's website is a very good swatch. This is exactly the color . But it will not look like this on your face unless you wear a ton of it and trust me that's not what you want. You will have a champagne colored patch of shimmer on your face, not cool. Therefore, remember less is more!!!

Upcoming MAC Collection: Mischievous Mint!

Thanks to a very good friend of mine aka my best friend, I was able to get my hands on one of the polishes from MAC's upcoming spring collection, that should be available April/May.

This is Mischievous Mint! I've been meaning to get a nice mint color, and then this metaphorically fell into my lap. It's a really nice, perfect mint creme. The color really hits the nail on the head, it reminds me of mint ice cream (now I want mint ice cream!). Here, I have on 2 coats and a top coat. The formula looks like it would be fine, but the actual application wasn't as great as I'd thought it would be. For some reason the polish came out strangely streaky and bubbly/lumpy. It did smooth out a bit when it was drying, but I added the top coat to ensure a smooth finish. This might have been because my bottle is a sample, hopefully when the actual collection comes out the formula is fixed.

Besides that formula mishap, I adore this color. I've wanted a nice minty color for a long time and I love this one. The color is perfect, not too green, not too blue, and it looks great in the creme finish. I can't wait until this collection comes out!

MAC Venomous Villains Mean and Green

I recently won this on ebay and I'm super excited! I feel like such a winner. We, here at We are the Wicked have loved the MAC Venomous Villains collection since it came out, but it sold out so ridiculously fast. I feel lucky to have found this polish for the price that I did.

I had to take pictures from so many angles because this color is so multidimensional. It's like a super duochrome that goes from a purple to pink to green to yellow/gold. It's a pearl finish according to the bottom of the bottle lol. As you can see from the pictures, it looks like a glitter polish, but thats not quite what it is. It is so reflective, it's amazing. I wasn't expecting it. The pictures really can't capture the color, you have to see it in person, in the sunlight. It's pretty amazing.

The application was good, the polish is smooth and doesn't streak which is nice but, it was pretty sheer, so I had to do around 3 coats. Also, the dry time felt kind of long. I did a coat of Seche Vite, but it took longer to dry than usual and it smudged super easily, so you have to be careful with this one. 

Overall, its a really cool and interesting color and I love Disney (probably too much) so this is so worth it to me lol.

What is a Face Primer?
